Footnote* - Trailer
There is an interesting new television program from Back to the Bible and Cooke
Pictures called Footnote*, which was promoted at the NRB 2010 conference in Nashville, TN. It’s being marketed as “a new broadcast for a new generation.”
“It’s hard to explain just what Footnote* is without sounding like we’re exaggerating. It’s more than a new television show. It’s more than a new brand of entertainment. No, Footnote* is a long overdue revolution—the next level in media production. It’s a fusion of Bible-based research, social networking and cutting-edge television to create an immersive experience. The Bible is yanked from the shelves and thrust into the grit and mess and pull of the new decade via Footnote’s progressive exploration of modern issues through a biblical lens.”
In a time when 8 out of 10 young people fall away from their Christian faith, Back to the Bible initiated this project to combat Christian impotence and force discussion about the harmful, popular, yet near-taboo issues in culture today (pornography, homeless, transgender, etc).
I like it. It’s gritty. It’s hardened. It’s well-produced. It’s unique. It’s relevant. However, It MUST be filled with Christ and backed up by Scripture to succeed. These episodes walk directly into the Devil’s strongest principalities. He won’t be happy, and will gladly disembowel any Christian who stands up against him. Only Christ can conquer and change lives.
